GAME DAY PREVIEW | Montreal Canadiens vs Vancouver Canucks: Preview, TV, Start Time, Statistical Match-up, Projected Lines, Starting Goalies, Keys to Victory, Habs Tickets
Game Preview | |
A Look BackIt was a physical game that the Habs were lucky to leave with the extra point. The Habs escaped the first period with a lead thanks to Mike Hoffman who had two goals. But the Habs allowed the Wings to stick around until they tied the game to force overtime. The Habs found themselves shorthanded multiple times, gave up a penalty shot and had two players with misconducts. Jake Allen made 41 saves and Nick Suzuki had the game-deciding goal in the shootout. Game Expectations |
The second night of back to backs for both teams could lead to a very sluggish game with both teams running on fumes. The Habs will have to do their part and feed off the crowd’s energy to have a strong game. The Canucks have had a tough start to the season but are coming off an impressive 6-4 win over Ottawa. They will be hoping to get a run going on this road trip where the Habs have to put a stop to that.
Bottom LineThese teams are very evenly matched but on a second night on a back to back the Habs do have the advantage in goal and need to make the most of this opportunity.
