Desharnais seems to have cooled off after a good start. He is 22 now, so if he doesn’t score in the AHL this season it will be tough for him to advance from there.
Maxwell is putting up good rookie numbers, right there with pure offensive types from the same draft like Giroux and Bouchard. Ben is much better skater than either and a better two way forward.
Pacioretty off to a solid start for a teenager in the AHL. He started slowly and picked up the pace last season at Michigan, and the year before in the USHL. I have a feeling he could do some damage in the next while.
As for Weber, it is tough to bring up a guy who is strictly a power play specialist. Particularly one who only has 2 goals and 6 points so far. I’m not sure how much he can develop his defensive game given his size limitations. But hey, Bouillon made it with less talent.
