LONGUEUIL, QC. — The entire 2013 Montreal Canadiens calendar was made available today and what’s for certain is that it’s going to be a rock ‘n roll sprint from the start of the season until the very finish.
If you’re the type to seek out positive news, as of March the 2nd, the Canadiens play every single Saturday until the end of the season. Saturday night hockey is back!
If you’re the type to simply look for a reason to complain (like me sometimes), the Habs will need to play 48 games packed into a 99 day schedule and with so much hockey to play in so little time, combined with the fact that players will be all be at different levels of fitness, and we are looking at a possible injury ridiculed season, like many have already indicated.
The Canadiens will be playing 9 back-to-back games when the season is all said and done.
They will play three consecutive home games twice this season, but they never more.
Their longest stretch away from home will be a five-game stint in seven days between March 3rd and March 10th, where the Habs will face the Boston Bruins, New York Islanders, Carolina Hurricanes, Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers. If you pull the calendar back to February 25th, the Habs will actually end up playing nine of eleven games on the road during this period.
The Canadiens close out their 2013 regular season calendar on Saturday April 27th in Toronto, against the Maple Leafs.
Our sidebar calendar widget will receive it’s update this coming week to include the Montreal Canadiens 2013 calendar (Hamilton Bulldogs schedule is already posted) and also this coming week, tickets will again be available for purchase in the All Habs navigation bar just above.
We are one week away, Go Habs Go!
