MONTREAL – Carey Price has been seeing stars all week and it isn’t about to stop now.

After being named among the three-stars in each of the Canadiens’ three last games, the 23-year-old netminder was named the NHL’s first star of the week, with Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby and Washington’s Alexander Semin coming in second and third respectively. Price went a perfect three-for-three in those match-ups, posting a .970 save percentage by kicking aside 96 of the 99 shots fired his way by the Canucks, Bruins and Hurricanes. The Anahim Lake, BC native also picked up his sixth career shutout – and his second of the season – in a 2-0 win over Vancouver on November 9.

This marks the fourth time Price has been named one of the league’s three stars in his young career and the first time since November 22, 2009 when he was the second-star of the week. The Habs’ netminder also won the honors for the weeks ending on February 17, 2008 and April 6, 2007.

Since the start of the 2010-11 campaign, Price has been the busiest goaltender in the NHL, ranking second in the league with 10 wins to his credit and a 2.18 goals-against average, plus an 11th-best .923 save percentage through 16 starts.
