Canadiens sign goaltender Dustin Tokarski to a one-year contract

MONTREAL – Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced Monday the signing of goaltender Dustin Tokarski to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2013-14 season.
Tokarski, 23, suited up for 15 games with the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs in 2012-13, posting a record of six wins and eight losses, a 2.22 goals against average and a .927 save percentage.
The 5’11’’ and 198 lbs goaltender also played 33 games with the Syracuse Crunch last season, posting a 18-8-4 record, a 2.46 goals against average and a .900 save percentage.
The Humboldt, Saskatchewan native Tokarski was acquired from the Tampa Bay Lightning in return for goaltender Cédrick Desjardins on February 14, 2013. Selected in the 5th round, 122nd overall by the Lightning in 2008, Tokarski played in seven NHL regular season games with Tampa Bay between 2009 and 2012.
Tokarski won the Calder Cup with the AHL Norfolk Admirals in 2011-12.
