MONTREAL, QUE – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today that the Canadiens have recalled goaltender Robert Mayer and have reassigned goaltender Peter Delmas from the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL to the Bulldogs.

mayerhamDelmas, 23, has played 18 games with the Nailers this season posting a record of 9 wins, 6 losses and 3 overtime losses along with a 2.40 goals against average and .910 save percentage. Delmas also played in three games for the Bulldogs this season going 0-2-0 with a 3.49 goals against average and a .865 save percentage. During the 2011-2012 regular season, the 6’3”, 190-pound goaltender played 37 regular season games with the Nailers registering 18 wins, 14 losses and 3 overtime losses along with a 2.50 goals against average and .909 save percentage. The native of Bedford, Nova Scotia played four games for the Bulldogs last season notching a record of 1-2-0, a 2.26 goals against average and a .919 save percentage. Delmas was originally drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the second round, 61st overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Mayer, 23, has played 26 games with the Bulldogs this season registering an 11-10-3 record with a 2.99 goals against average and a .900 save percentage. Last season with Hamilton, Mayer recorded a 14-18-1 record with a 2.94 goals against average and a .909 save percentage.
