Montreal Canadiens Recall Gabriel Dumont
Forward leads the ‘Dogs in goals, assists and points

MONTREAL, QUE – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today that the Canadiens have recalled forward Gabriel Dumont from the Bulldogs.
Dumont, 22, has played 52 games for the Bulldogs this season and leads the team in points (30), goals (15) and assists (15) while also accumulating 81 penalty minutes. The native of Ville Degelis, Quebec represented the Bulldogs at the 2013 AHL All-Star Classic suiting up for the Western Conference All-Stars. On December 28th against the St. John’s IceCaps, Dumont notched a career-high five points (3 goals, 2 assists) in a 6-3 victory. The 5’10”, 186-pound forward has played 175 regular season games over three seasons for the Bulldogs posting 72 points (33 goals, 39 assists) and 215 penalty minutes. Dumont was originally selected by the Canadiens in the fifth round, 139th overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
The Bulldogs’ next game is against the Lake Erie Monsters in Cleveland on Saturday, March 2nd at 7:30 p.m. All ‘Dogs games will be broadcast on Hamilton’s Funny 820 (AM 820).
