Official Release: Tinordi Assigned to Bulldogs

MONTREAL, QUEBEC – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have assigned defenceman Jarred Tinordi to the Bulldogs.

Tinordi has appeared in six games with Montreal this season, recording no points and nine penalty minutes.

The 21-year-old split last season between Hamilton and Montreal. Last season, the 6’6”, 227-pound defenceman shared top defenceman honours on the Bulldogs with Nathan Beaulieu. In 67 regular season games with Hamilton, the Millersville, Maryland native recorded 13 points (two goals, 11 assists) and 71 penalty minutes. In eight regular season games with Montreal, he recorded two assists and two penalty minutes. In five playoff games with the Habs, he recorded one assist and 15 penalty minutes.

Tinordi was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the first round (22nd overall) in the 2010 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

Hamilton’s next game is scheduled for Friday, October 25th, when they will host the Rochester Americans (AHL Affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres) at Copps Coliseum at 7:30 p.m.
