HAMILTON, ON – The Hamilton Bulldogs, American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, announced today that the Club has reached an agreement with Montreal’s TSN Radio 690 (AM 690 CKGM) to simulcast all Hamilton Bulldogs home and away games during the month of October.

TSN Radio 690’s coverage will commence with the Hamilton Bulldogs’ 2012-2013 season-opener on Saturday, October 13th versus the Grand Rapids Griffins.  Coverage begins with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.  TSN Radio 690’s full schedule of games, which is subject to change, is below.

“All of us at TSN Radio 690 are thrilled to present live coverage of the Hamilton Bulldogs and give Canadiens fans the opportunity to cheer on players that could one day be battling it out on the ice at Bell Centre, ” said Wayne Bews, General Manager, TSN Radio 690.  “As fans already know, AHL hockey is fast-paced and exciting, so it’s a great property for TSN Radio 690 to showcase to our listeners.”

Calling Hamilton Bulldogs games on TSN Radio 690 will be the broadcast team of Derek Wills and Al Craig.

Currently in his 12th season as Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network Play-By Play Announcer, Wills will call all home and away games.  Wills, 36, has called a number of historically significant games such as the AHL’s Conference Finals on five occasions (2002, 2003, 2007, 2010 and 2011) and the Calder Cup Finals twice (2003, 2007).  Entering the 2012-2013 season, Wills has called 995 consecutive regular season and post-season Hamilton Bulldogs games, the longest current streak for any broadcaster in the AHL.

Craig, currently in his 11th full season as Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network Colour Commentator, will join Wills in the broadcast booth for all home games and select away games.  Craig, 63, served as the Hamilton Bulldogs’ first play-by-play announcer from 1996-1999 and was the Sports Director at Hamilton’s AM 900 CHML for 23 years.  During his 43-year broadcasting career, Craig has covered a wide variety of sports and leagues, including the 1972 Summit Series, the 1987 and 1991 Canada Cups, the 1992 and 1993 World Series, the 1997, 2003 and 2007 Calder Cup Finals as well as the National Hockey League, Major League Baseball and Canadian Football League.
