 Post-game Press Conference

Coach Mike Babcock

  • mike-babcock“Everyone evaluates [Sidney Crosby] on scoring and I evaluate Sid on winning.”
  • “We’re going to make lineup changes for sure.”
  • “Every time I’ve come to Europe and coached a team, no one ever seems to be happy with us. I think we’re competing like crazy. So I’m way happier than the people sitting 200 feet away.”
  • “It’s a hard game. The European game is all about defense.”

Goaltender Carey Price

  •  On blocker save that prolonged overtime: “Sami (Salo) appeared out of no where and I just made a reaction save on it.”
  • “That defensive crew in front of me is the best in the world. It makes my job a lot easier.”
  • On being the No. 1 goaltender going forward: “I dunno. You’ll have to ask Coach Babcock about that.”

Forward Matt Duchene

  • “I think we can have a little bit more poise and confidence with the puck and maybe try a few more plays to get inside at certain times. Just keep driving the net and shooting pucks and getting to the paint there.”

Defenseman Drew Doughty

  • “My first game, I thought I struggled a little bit, especially in the first period, but ever since then, I’ve been comfortable. I’m ready to go. I’m used to the ice sheet. I’m used to playing with these guys. I’m just excited now. I forget about everything that’s going on around me, and I’m just focused on my game and having fun.”
