While Carey Price might have been given some token consideration for the Calder trophy, he has bigger accomplishments which lie ahead………a shot at the Stanley Cup!!!
Price would have been the runaway winner if he had started more games. Unfortunately, with Cristobal Huet carried the work load until he was traded to the Capitals and Price’s minor slump/demotion to Hamilton, it wasn’t in the card for Price to win the Calder trophy.
I’m sure Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane and Nicklas Backstrom would love to trade places with Carey Price for a chance to get their names engraved on Lord Stanley’s mug instead of the Calder trophy……..time will tell if his chance become reality.
