MONTREAL – For the second time since the beginning of the 2011-12 season, Carey Price has been named the NHL’s First Star of the Week.

Price was solid between the pipes for the Habs last week, owning a stellar 0.67 goals-against average alongside a sparkling 0.972 save percentage.

In his three starts last week, the Montreal netminder was 2-0-1. Price recorded his first two shutouts of the year, blanking the Hurricanes with 25 saves on November 16 at the Bell Centre before serving up a whitewash to the Rangers with another 17 stops on November 19.

It was the first time in his short career that the Anahim Lake native has posted back-to-back shutouts.

This marks the fourth time in his career Price has been awarded the First Star of the Week honor.
