Prospect Ryan Hitchcock Named Pacific4 Sports Forward for September

Hitchcock named Pacific4 Sports Forward of the Month

CALGARY, AB — Future Considerations Hockey today announced that Ryan Hitchcock of the United States’ National Team Development Program Under-18 Team as the Pacific4 Sports draft eligible Forward of the Month for September.

Hitchcock, a product of Manhasset, NY, has been sensational in his start to the season. The Yale commit has two goals and nine points in just three games to tie him for the United States Hockey League scoring lead. His offensive outburst to start the season is highlighted by a four-point night in an 8-0 win against the Chicago Steel on September 29th.

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound forward also had an assist in Team Johnson’s 5-2 win over Team Mullen in the CCM/USA Hockey All American Prospects Game.

“[Hitchcock] is a smaller player but still finds a way to contribute in the offensively regardless of who he’s playing with,” said Future Considerations USHL scout Andrew Weiss. “The line of Hitchcock, Dylan Larkin and Anders Bjork have clicked early and Hitchcock has really reaped the benefits of it thus far.

“In terms of development, the best is yet to come from Hitchcock. He’s a player who was not high on my radar, but his start will definitely have us monitoring his development throughout this year more closely.”

Also considered for the award was Sam Reinhart of the Kootenay Ice. Reinhart, who tops Future Considerations’ October ranking for the 2014 NHL Draft, had three goals and 10 points in four games to start his Western Hockey League season.
