FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CALGARY, AB – Future Considerations Hockey today announced Leon Draisaitl of the Prince Albert Raiders as the Pacific4 Sports draft eligible Forward of the Month for November.
Draisaitl, a product of Cologne, Germany, was exceptional during November. The pivot recorded points in nine of 12 games played during the month, compiling eight goals and 22 points. He had seven multi-point games, including 11 points over the course of his final three November games to push his season totals to 15 goals and 42 points in 27 games — seventh overall in the Western Hockey League.
“Leon is starting to show the dominance we expected at the start of the year,” Future Considerations’ WHL head scout Zenon Herasymiuk said. “He has a strong frame and quick hands that compliment his superior hockey sense. His ability to work through traffic areas and display uncanny patience and poise has impressed our WHL scouts this year.”
Draisaitl’s month pushed him to third in Future Considerations’ December ranking for the 2014 NHL Draft, behind only Aaron Ekblad and Sam Reinhart.
Also considered for the award was Michael Dal Colle of the Oshawa Generals. In 13 games, Dal Colle had nine goals and 25 points and was a plus-5 in 13 games.
