MONTREAL, QC. — The NHL Department of Player Safety has announced that Rangers defenseman John Moore has been suspended two games for an illegal hit to Canadiens forward Dale Weise. In explaining the ruling, the NHL indicated that the principal point of contact was the head. They also factored in Weise’s injury on the play. Moore’s clean record mitigated a longer suspension.
