RDS: Habs put Jamie Rivers on waivers

0

Habster’s take:
Placing Jamie Rivers on waivers was inevitable as he has refused to report to the Hamilton Bulldogs since being cut from the Canadiens training camp. He passed through waivers at that time without much interest from other teams and will probably do the same this time.
It’s a shame as Rivers would have been a solid replacement call up in case of injuries to the Habs defense corp ( along with Ryan O’Bryne of course). He would have logged huge minutes with the Bulldogs and been a great addition to a somewhat young defense. I hope he can find an interested NHL team at this time of the year (highly unlikely) otherwise the only other option would be retirement, Europe or RSL.
