Post-game Press Conference |
- “Tonight we played against the best defensive team in the league and it showed. They play a solid defensive game. When you lose the battle of special teams, it always hurts.”
- “I didn’t like our special teams tonight. Penalty kill needs to be better, power play needs to be better. Power play was good lately, but tonight we didn’t generate enough.“
- “You got to give them credit. They’re a good team. They’re a good team to kill penalties and they’re not easy to play against.”
Goaltender Peter Budaj
- ”I read it there (on the Kings second goal scored by Jeff Carter.) I read that play. I was there, and the puck went right through my body, through the seven-hole. It was unfortunate because I felt I was right there.”
Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick
- “You want to make it as tough as possible for the other teams to score, and I think we did a great job of that tonight on the penalty kill and 5-on-5. We didn’t give up much. We didn’t give up many opportunities. We want to stick to playing that way.”
