Game Recap:Unbelievable! For the first period, it was the Canadiens running up the shot totals but not getting near the Robin Lehner rebounds. The Senators capitalized on shoddy defensive play in the second. The Habs mounted a improbable comeback taking advantage of weak Ottawa goaltending scoring 4 goals in the final 4:48 to win it. Price was solid in his return turning back multiple breakaway attempts by the Sens.

- “When you’re behind the bench you always believe that you still got a chance to win no matter what. You’re looking for something special to give you a chance to win. It doesn’t happen every night.”
- “But when we scored that second goal (by Lars Eller) — you keep fighting and fighting, we got 19 shots in the third period, I believe — we made a comeback. It shows the character of our team, they never gave up. That’s the No. 1 thing for me, we found a way to win.”
- “What I’m hoping for is that can change a season, those big games like that.”
- “With less than one second, [P.K. Subban] did the right play, I guess (to pass the puck.)”
- “I’d like to talk about Carey (Price) too. He hasn’t played for three weeks. He is not going to come to Buffalo (for the game on Sunday.) We decided that. We don’t want to play him in back-to-back games. He’s going to remain in Montreal and make sure he’s going to be ready for the next game this week.”

- “It’s part of managing momentum and seizing the opportunities you have. That’s what happens when you don’t do that.”

- ”It’s maybe the most important goal of my career. It’s nice to have it in a game like that.”
- “But even after that, I thought we chipped it in well, didn’t play a bad game at all in the second. It’s a good team and good teams find way to score, and they did.”

- “That was a gong show, I guess, to sum it up out there. At the end of the day, that was a really big two points for our team. We needed that desperately.”
Senators coach Paul MacLean
- “Right now it’s frustrating. The last three-and-a-half minutes, the game’s there to be won. But it’s a perfect example that you’ve got to play longer and harder than the opposition if you hope to win the game. There’s going to be circumstances in the game where you have to control your emotion and focus on the task at hand, and we didn’t do a good enough job of that.”
