thank you for all your dedication, time and efforts.
a christmas wish from santa?

i wish for the return of: pernel-karl,andrei markov, radulov et companie…
wishful wishing, but it keeps me going thru the discouragement of it all…
ps,
sure wish santa puts a stop/pause button on our g.m.,pretending to be santa,
giving away our gifts to the rest of the league…

greetings,my friends
tough one again last night,
tie is a tie,is okay in my books.
this overtime stuff is not for me,
not real hockey,?
3 on 3,
4 on 4,
its seems like a gimmick.
its a track meet on ice…
no checking,physical play,etc.
(the nhl is doing very well at eliminating bodycheching and physical play out of the game.)
save the overtime for the playoffs,5 on 5 the way it was intended/scripted to be…
the season is long enough…
in the older days, the tie was okay.
both teams left the ice at the end of the 3rd period usually feeling good about the game.(especially the 2 goalies).
the team that had the lead felt good knowing they played well enough to win.
the team that was behind felt good knowing they were able to battle back and tie it up and show good character.
at the end of the day, both teams felt “justly rewarded” and “fairly consequenced” with 1 point each.
anyhow,
just a few thoughts on the matter,
ps,the play by play person with the flames on radio is a super person.
derrick wills.he was the radio person for our hamilton bulldogs for years before he took over from the legendary peter maahr in calgary.he was there with paciorety, price, subban, desharnais, gallagher, halak, etc.when they were still on the farm team in hamilton.guy boucher and julien brisebois were in charge of the bulldogs back then too.had some great seasons.he would be a great person to have as a guest on one of our broadcasts.a living history lesson.
anyhow,
i said too much,again
take good care
bye for now
le petitbill4,
dino,
