After the Flames took a 1-0 lead to the dressing room after the first period, the Canadiens came out guns a-blazing in the second. Three goals, two on the power-play, turned the contest in the Habs favor. Montreal decided to put their feet up on the bench and turn the third period over to their Vezina-caliber goaltender (or so it seemed.) Carey Price didn’t disappoint. And like so many contests before, Price carried the team on his shoulders for the final frame. With Price slaying franchise records and on pace to set more this season, it is predictable that the knives have been out for him from certain quarters, heaping all sorts of unfair criticism.
