It’s not always a fun time for the Canadiens when they play their neighbor, the Ottawa Senators.  Tuesday night’s game, when the Sens came to Montreal, stayed true to that narrative.  With a goal by Brendan Gallagher waved off in the first period, the Canadiens had to wait until a power play goal by Dale Weise in the second frame to get on the board.  Ottawa managed to get a short-handed goal, but no more.  In overtime, things were settled pretty quickly when Kyle Turris put one past Mike Condon, handing the Habs their first home loss of the season.  Final score: Senators, 2-1 (OT). On Thursday night, the Canadiens welcomed the Islanders to town hoping to rebound from the previous game.  Weise energized the crowd with another power play goal, before the goal horn started to really get a workout in the third period with scoring from David Desharnais, Gallagher, and Tomas Plekanec (ENG).  The Islanders couldn’t keep up.  Final score: Canadiens, 4-1. Finally, on Saturday evening, one of the most heated rivalries in hockey was revisited when the Boston Bruins rolled into the Bell Centre.  After an unproductive opening frame, Plekanec potted a power play goal to get the Habs on the board in the second.  The game got pretty physical, but the Canadiens kept grinding.  Lars Eller, Desharnais, and Max Pacioretty (ENG) all tallied goals in the third period to send the Bruins packing.  Final score: Canadiens, 4-2.
