After a fantastic opening week, the Canadiens continued their winning ways on Tuesday night when the Pittsburgh Penguins.  The evening marked the 100th game with the Habs for Dale Weise.  Captain Max Pacioretty added to his goal tally by lighting the lamp in the first period and then scoring a much-needed power play goal in the second.  Tomas Fleischmann nabbed the tie breaker and game winner in the final frame.  Final score: Canadiens, 3-2. After an emotional and rousing home opener ceremony, Carey Price stood on his head Thursday evening to shut out the New York Rangers at the Bell Centre.  It was a goaltending battle with Henrik Lundqvist for the first 20 minutes, but then Fleischmann got the Habs on the board about nine minutes into the second period.  Weise followed that up with a third period goal and Tomas Plekanec potted an empty-netter.  Final score: Canadiens, 3-0. The Habs wrapped up the first full week of the season with an original six matchup against the Detroit Red Wings.  For the second consecutive game, the Canadiens couldn’t find the back of the net in the first period, and for the first time this season they gave up the first goal against when rookie Dylan Larkin got Detroit on the board.  The power play fired up again with Brendan Gallagher and Jeff Petry both scoring on the man advantage.  Plekanec added to his goal tally in the third, and Brian Flynn snuck in an empty-netter right before the buzzer.  Final score: Canadiens, 4-1.
