MIKE BROWN CLAIMED OFF WAIVERS

MONTREAL, QC — The Canadiens have claimed forward Mike Brown off waivers from the San Jose Sharks.
Brown is expected to join his new teammates today as the Habs are already in San Jose.
Through 44 games played this season, the 30-year-old forward has registered a goal and added two assists in addition to serving 63 penalty minutes.
A NHL veteran with 393 games to his credit, Brown has amassed 34 points in his career, including 18 goals and 751 penalty minutes.
The former Vancouver Canucks’ fifth-round pick in 2004 will be joining his sixth NHL franchise, having previously suited up with the Canucks, Ducks, Maple Leafs, Oilers and Sharks.
