Charles Hudon has reportedly signed a two-year contract for $650,000 AAV.

MONTREAL – Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced on Thursday that the team has agreed to terms on a two-year, one-way contract extension with forward Charles Hudon (2017-18 and 2018-19).

The 22-year-old Alma, QC native amassed 27 goals – including seven game-winners – and 49 points in 56 regular-season games with the AHL’s St. John’s IceCaps last season, and chipped in with one goal and four points in four playoff games during his AHL postseason debut.
His 27 tallies ranked second on the IceCaps’ roster and tied for sixth overall in the league.
Hudon, who was selected in the fifth round, 122nd overall by the Canadiens in 2012, also appeared in three games with the big club during the 2016-17 campaign, collecting two assists.
In 207 career AHL outings, Hudon has put up 75 goals and 87 assists for 162 points.
He has six career appearances with the Canadiens.
