MONTREAL – Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced Friday that the team has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with forward Sven Andrighetto.
Drafted by the Canadiens in the third round (86th overall) at the 2013 Entry Draft, Andrighetto laced up the skates for 44 games with the Habs in 2015-16, registering a total of 17 points, including seven goals. In 26 games with the St. John’s IceCaps earlier in the season, Andrighetto collected 23 points complemented by a differential of plus-6.
The native of Zurich, Switzerland will be entering his third season with the Habs at just 23-years-old. The former product of the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the QMJHL registered 172 points in 115 games throughout his junior career.
