Per Montreal Canadiens press release:

MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens announced Sunday night that right wingers Ryan White and Ian Schultz have been recalled from the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs. Both players will be at the Canadiens’ morning skate Monday, and will be available for the night’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Assigned to the Bulldogs last February 6 for conditioning purposes, White notched five points (4 goals, 1 assist) in four games with Hamilton this season. He recorded 10 shots on goal, 26 penalty minutes and maintained a +2 plus/minus differential. The 23-year old forward has yet to play a game with the Canadiens in 2011-12 due to a sports hernia suffered during the team’s training camp, last September.

The 6’00’’, 188 lbs forward entered his third NHL season in 2011-12. In 43 career regular season games White has registered seven points (2 goals, 5 assists), 117 hits and 54 penalty minutes.

A native of Brandon, Manitoba, White was the Canadiens’ fourth pick (third round, 66th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Schultz produced 13 points (3 goals, 10 assists) in 36 games with Hamilton this season. The 22-year old forward added 56 shots on goal, 83 penalty minutes and displayed a +3 plus/minus differential.

In 81 career games with the Bulldogs in the AHL, Schultz posted 17 points (6 goals, 11 assists). The 6’02’’, 201 lbs forward added 132 penalty minutes. Schultz played with Calgary in the Western Hockey League (WHL) from 2006-07 to 2009-10, collecting 127 points (55 goals, 72 assists) and 405 penalty minutes in 196 games.

A Calgary-native Schultz was acquired from the St. Louis Blues with Lars Eller in return for Jaroslav Halak, on June 17, 2010.
