Senators acquire Stillman and Commodore while Hurricanes get Corvo and Eaves

Habster:

It’s about time somebody gets the ball rolling with two weeks to go before the trade deadline. Let’s hope this trade will have a snow ball effect and we’ll see further transactions in the coming days.
It’s a win-win situation for both teams as Bryan Murray certainly has improved his team with the additions of solid NHLers Cory Stillman and Mike Commodore while Jim Rutherford gets the offensively gifted defenseman he’s been seeking for a while in Joe Corvo and a solid two way prospect like Patrick Eaves. Murray loses very little off his roster and Rutherford unloads two of his UFAs for two good players who will be with the Hurricanes for the next few years.

If you’re Bob Gainey, you have to continue working the phones and checking what players are available as one of your main division/conference rivals has just gotten that much better!!!
