Roster news – Cole Caufield was assigned to the Laval Rocket. Forwards Michael Pezzetta and Alex Belzile were recalled from Laval. Mattias Norlinder has been assigned to Laval for a conditioning stint after recovering from a training camp injury. Cedric Paquette is available to return to the lineup after serving a two-game suspension for boarding Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras. Joel Edmundson will skate on his own on Saturday for evaluation. Carey Price will join the Canadiens on Monday after completing a voluntary stay with the Player Assistance Program.
