- Roster news – Canadiens announced that five players failed their medical exams including Mike Hoffman, Josh Brook, Joel Teasdale, Paul Byron and Carey Price. Joel Edmundson is day-to-day and Brendan Gallagher was absent for family reasons. Jesse Ylonen reversed his decision and will now be vaccinated. Jonathan Drouin was praised after giving two short interviews to TVA & RDS.
- Habs prospect report – Summary of Canadiens rookie camp. 16 rookies were invited to the Canadiens main training camp. Canadiens signed defenceman Cody Goloubef to a professional tryout contract. Canadiens signed defenceman Sami Niku to a one-year, two-way contract.
