Habster’s take:
It is unfortunate that Bill Wirtz has passed away and my condolences to the family. It will be interesting to see who takes over the ownership of the team (his sons, Rocky and/or Peter might) and in what direction they will go as far as player development (which has greatly improved ), TV coverage and signings.
As sad as it might sound, there are a lot of Blackhawk fans who are hoping the passing of Mr. Wirtz will bring a new era of hockey to the windy city.
