This manoeuvre might make Mark Recchi’s salary more palatable to other teams……..do I think the Habs should take a shot at him? I think he would be a nice addition to the dressing room but not on the ice as his skills have eroded a lot over the last couple of years.
The Canadiens need to allow their younger players like Higgins, Komisarek and Chipchura (to name a few) to build their influence and leadership skills within the team, adding another veteran like Recchi would be nice but would also retard their leadership development.
