In 54 games this season, the Lynnfield, Massachusetts native has five goals and 12 assists. Flynn will definitely give the Canadiens some depth at centre, shoots right and kills penalties.

The trade deadline is 3 pm. today, so the Habs could potentially make a few more deals

UPDATES: Jeff Petry will wear No. 26 with Brian Flynn donning No. 32.

Petry is expected to play his first game with the Canadiens on Monday night in San Jose. He likely will be paired with Tom Gilbert.  Flynn will join the Canadiens on Tuesday.
