I’m not shocked by the cuts made but it would have been fun to see how well P.K. Subban and Olivier Fortier would have played against NHL players during a preseason game. I guess Carbonneau wants to evaluate the NHL ready players and felt that these players were not ready to be exposed to NHL caliber play. It will only make them more hungry for next year’s camp. At least these 7 players were able to gauge themselves against NHL players the last four days and have a better understanding of they have to do to get better.
