MONTREAL, QUE. – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs general manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have recalled forward Christian Thomas from the Bulldogs.

Thomas has split this season between the Canadiens and Bulldogs. In three games with Montreal, he has recorded no points or penalty minutes. In 31 games with Hamilton, he has recorded 15 points (nine goals, six assists) and 10 penalty minutes.

In six career National Hockey League regular season games with the Canadiens and New York Rangers, the 5-9, 179-pound forward has recorded no points or penalty minutes. In 164 career American Hockey League regular season games with the Bulldogs and Connecticut Whale, the Toronto, Ont. native has recorded 79 points (40 goals, 39 assists) and 47 penalty minutes.

The 22-year-old was originally selected by the Rangers in the second round (40th overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired by the Canadiens from the Rangers in exchange for forward Danny Kristo on July 2, 2013.
