MONTREAL, QUE. – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs general manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have signed goaltender Mike Condon to a two-year contract extension for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons.

In 26 games with Hamilton this season, Condon has a record of 14-9-3 with a 2.10 goals-against average, .931 save percentage and two shutouts. In 34 career American Hockey League regular season games with the Bulldogs and Houston Aeros, the 24-year-old has a record of 18-10-3 with a 2.16 goals-against average, .928 save percentage and two shutouts.

The 6-2, 198-pound goaltender also spent parts of two seasons (2013 to 2014) with the ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers and Ontario Reign. In 43 career ECHL regular season games with the Nailers and Reign, the Needham, Mass. native had a record of 26-13-4 with a 2.11 goals-against average, .932 save percentage and seven shutouts.

Before turning pro in 2013, Condon spent four seasons (2009 to 2013) with the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Princeton University Tigers. In 53 career NCAA games with Princeton, he had a record of 18-22-8 with a 2.67 goals-against average, .917 save percentage and three shutouts.

Condon was signed by the Canadiens to an entry-level contract as an undrafted free agent on May 8, 2013.

The Bulldogs will be back in action on Friday, Feb. 6 when they’ll host the Iowa Wild at FirstOntario Centre at 7:30 p.m.
