MONTREAL, QC. — They may be legends, but just like you and me, they wear many different hats in their lives. Dove Men+Care’s Real Man Challenge sought to challenge former hockey greats Wendel Clark and Guy Carbonneau into proving just that. Both men have volunteered to participate in three head-to-head challenges at their respective home arenas:

The Intermission Rush: Carbonneau and Clark each have 17 minutes to test their speed, agility, and ability to remain calm under pressure as they try to determine who can serve the most beers in the allotted time.

The Program Stand: In this challenge, the two men must count on their charm and eloquence in order to find out which of them can sell the most programs before the game begins.

The Arena Organ: Is just what it sounds like. But which of Clark and Carbonneau can play it better for the fans?

Both men are pleased to be able to renew their rivalry, and face the Real Man Challenge as seriously as the many hockey games they have played against one another in their careers. For his part, Wendel Clark already completed all three challenges last week at the Air Canada Centre. During last night’s game between the Habs and the Wild at the Bell Centre, it was Carbo’s turn to face the first challenge: The Intermission Rush. On February 21st, Clark sold 68 beers to fans at the Air Canada Centre in 17 minutes. Here’s a look at how Carbo did:

The final (but unofficial) tally was reported to be 84 beers. When asked which of the three challenges he thought would prove to be the toughest, Guy responded by demonstrating his organ playing “abilities” which are limited to the use of his index fingers. Time will tell, as Parts II and III of Carbonneau’s entry in Dove Men+Care’s Real Man Challenge will take place this Saturday night as the Canadiens face a familiar foe: the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Once all three challenges are completed, it will be left up to the fans to decide who completed them the best. As of March 9th, they will be able to vote for the winner at http://mapleleafs.com/madeformen. In the meantime, those who have Twitter will be able to follow along in real-time by clicking on @MadeForMen.
