MONTREAL – Netminder Carey Price is the Molson Cup recipient for the month of January (17 points). He earns this honour for the fourth consecutive month this season after winning it in October, November and December.

Price was selected the first star of the game five times (on January 3 at Pittsburgh, January 20 against Nashville, January 27 versus Dallas, January 29 at New York against the Rangers and January 31 facing Washington), and the second star once (January 10 against Pittsburgh). Price finished ahead of teammates Max Pacioretty and Tomas Plekanec.

The 27-year old goaltender showed a 7-1-1 record in nine games in January, ranking tied for second among NHL goaltenders in wins.
