THE QUEST FOR THE STANLEY CUP CONTINUES ON CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA WITH COVERAGE OF THE CONFERENCE FINALS, BEGINNING SATURDAY

CBC’s coverage of the third round of the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs includes the entire Pittsburgh vs. Boston series and every potential series-clinching game of the Chicago vs. Los Angeles match-up

 

May 29, 2013 – Four teams remain in the hunt for hockey’s greatest prize and CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA gives fans the best seat in the house as the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs continue with the Conference Finals. CBC has exclusive coverage of the entire Pittsburgh vs. Boston series, beginning Saturday, June 1, as well as every potential series-clinching game of the Chicago vs. Los Angeles series, beginning with Game 4 on Thursday, June 6. As the exclusive Canadian broadcaster of the Stanley Cup Final, CBC is the only place fans will see the Stanley Cup raised by the Champions. coachmay27jer_xbox_620x350_2387898257The Eastern Conference Final gets underway Saturday, June 1 at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) as Zdeno Chara and the Boston Bruins head to Pittsburgh to take on Sidney Crosby and the Penguins. Jim Hughson is joined by Craig Simpson (@hnicsimmer) as they call the action for this series with Glenn Healy providing analysis from between the benches and Scott Oake (@ScottOake) reporting.

CBC also has coverage of each potential series-clinching game from the Western Conference Final beginning with Game 4 on Thursday, June 6 at 9 p.m. ET (6 p.m. PT) as Jonathan Toews and the Chicago Blackhawks visit Dustin Brown and the Los Angeles Kings. Bob Cole is joined in the booth by Kelly Hrudey (@KellyHrudey) for this series, with analyst Garry Galley between the benches and Cassie Campbell-Pascall (@CassieCampbell) reporting. In a special feature for the playoffs, the Studio 42 Team has teamed up with Canada’s fashion elite to showcase specially tailored designs, which will be unveiled ahead of Game 4 of the Pittsburgh vs. Boston series, during a segment on Scotiabank Hockey Tonight.
