Habs call up Aaron Palushaj

MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens announced Saturday that forward Aaron Palushaj has been recalled from the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs.
Assigned to the Bulldogs on February 15, the 22-year old forward leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 31 points (13 goals and 18 assists) in 31 games with Hamilton this season. He ranks second on the team in goals (13) and is tied for second in powerplay goals (5). Palushaj added 105 shots on goal and displays a +1 plus/minus differential.
In 19 games with the Canadiens this season, Palushaj notched one assist, his first career NHL point, on Sunday, February 5 against the Winnipeg Jets. The 5’11’’, 188 lbs forward recorded 15 shots on goal, four blocked shots and 18 hits, while averaging 7:24 of ice time per game.
A native of Livonia, Michigan, Palushaj was acquired from the St. Louis Blues in return for Matt D’Agostini on March 3, 2010.
