Unless Kevin Lowe and Mr. Katz throw about $9-10 million per season for about 5-6 years then Marian Hossa will wait until July 1st (it will take a lot more than $7.5 million per season Matheson mentioned in the article). Jim Matheson is also being modest when he says it would take a top 6 forward and a 1st round pick to get Hossa…….add a blue chip prospect into the equation as well especially if a few teams get into a bidding war with each other.
