    Habster:

Ray Shero and Bob Gainey will be looking to add some playoff experienced/proven players who could be a welcome addition to their teams. Both have some salary cap wiggle room ( Gainey has about $2-$3 million while Shero has about $3.5-$4 million to play with ) plus they probably will be trading salaries as well so budget restraints shouldn’t be an issue.
Lower profile deals could be very popular before or on February 26th as there are numerous teams who are still in the playoff hunt and aren’t willing to drastically alter their rosters or team chemistry. Players like Trent Hunter, Miroslav Satan, Jarrett Stoll, Vaclav Prospal, Steve Staios, Ryan Malone and Jarkko Ruutu can all be classified in the “low” budget trade category.
