CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA GIVES CANADIANS AN EXCLUSIVE FRONT ROW SEAT TO THE 2013 STANLEY CUP FINAL, BEGINNING WEDNESDAY

June 9, 2013 – It all comes down to this. The 2013 Stanley Cup Final marks the first time in 34 years that two Original Six teams will battle for hockey’s greatest prize as  Jonathan Toews and the Chicago Blackhawks take on Zdeno Chara and the Boston Bruins exclusively in Canada on CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA beginning Wednesday, June 12 at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) from Chicago. From the first puck drop to the hoist of the Stanley Cup, live coverage of the entire best-of-seven series is available on CBC-TV and online at CBCSports.ca.

A special extended pre-game show airs on Saturday, June 15 at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT) ahead of Game 2 of the series as CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA carries the 2013 NHL Awards. CBC-TV and CBCSports.ca have live coverage of the entire broadcast as the winners of the Hart Memorial Trophy, Ted Lindsay Award, James  Norris Memorial Award, Vezina Trophy and Calder Memorial Trophy are announced. One day earlier, on Friday, June 14, NHL Network and NHL.com have live coverage at 5 p.m. ET (2 p.m. PT) as the winners are announced for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy, Frank J. Selke Trophy, Jack Adams Award, King Clancy Memorial Trophy, Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, and the Mark Messier NHL Leadership Award presented by Bridgestone, NHL Foundation Player Award and the NHL General Manager of the Year Award.
