Jay Feaster will be lucky if he get any sniffs of interest from other teams especially with another year left on a 3 year/$8.6 million contract (cap hit would be $2.867 million for next season). Marc Denis better get use to diesel fumes from buses and lower quality restaurants when he starts playing for Springfield Falcons of the AHL the next few months.
With Johan Holmqvist and Kari Ramo getting most of the playing time as well as Denis very poor play, this move was a no brainer which a lot of hockey observers thought should have happened sooner.
We have witnessed the Lightning go through goalies like Lindsey Lohan goes through rehab centers but it’s not only the goaltenders fault with such a porous defense and an all out attack mentality/system that John Tortorella deploys with the Lightning.
