Smart signing by the Flyers as Mike Richards would have been a hot commodity as a RFA. I do question the money amount of the deal but if Richards continues to develop his game then this could be a steal.
Richards is having a solid season and is being compared to another great player by the name of Rod Brind’Amour. Richards has a long way to go before he can be mentioned in the same breath as Brind’Amour but if he continues to develop, he will be the same type of player.
