Habster’s take:
Saku Koivu is being realistic about the Habs chances of winning a Stanley Cup this year but should the team’s captain be suggesting that his team has no chance to win the cup (I think not!!!). The odds of the Canadiens winning the cup this season are remote but not impossible ( remember the 1993 Montreal Canadiens team). Don’t get me wrong, I think the world of Mr. Koivu and agree with him about the Habs making the playoff but would prefer he not lower the expectations/goals of the team.
Koivu also states that he is happy about the new acquisition and is looking forward to starting the season.
